Kenzie asked me to come in and talk to her class about Chinese New Year, so I thought I’d bring in these Chinese lanterns as a fun craft. Each of the panels has a gold glitter 福 (fu) on it, which means good fortune, blessings, and luck. They are super easy to make, and you don’t need any supplies other than what already comes in the kit. So no scissors, no tape, no scrambling for anything. No mess to clean up. No prep. Ingenious really. And, you get 12 of them for something like $15. It’s a total win. Anyway, the downside is that it doesn’t come with any instructions. So I guess it’s a skill that gets passed down from generation to generation. Lucky for you, you’ve got me, and I’ve got YouTube. Here you go!
