Kenzie’s Wrap
Made this for Kenzie. It’s my first ever project on a floor loom and took 45 hours and $75 in raw materials, but it’s worth its weight in gold. We both love it very much.

We’ve tried no cook. We’ve tried adding Jell-o gelatin for color. We’ve tried all sorts of variations, but this has been the best so far. It comes together quickly and clean up is a breeze. 1 C flour1/2 C salt1 T vegetable oil (I’ve used olive oil and canola oil both)1 1/4 t cream of…
Kenzie and I frequent a lovely play space called Gather. It’s a beautiful, open environment filled with toys, craft supplies and a wonderful sense of community for both kids and their parents. When we arrived this morning, there was a pile of fuzzy, colorful rings mounded on the front table. Angela, the owner, was in the midst…

Kenzie is absolutely enthralled with the traditional Chinese lion dance. She wanted to play with her puppet, so I put on a YouTube video for her to get some context. Since then, we’ve been watching YouTube lion dance videos non-stop. I wish she could’ve seen the one at our wedding reception, she would’ve loved it. I can’t wait…
We bundled up the family and caught the SS Badger from Muskegon, WI across Lake Michigan to Ludington, MI. Hit Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Pentwater, Ludington, Fennville for lunch with friends, St. Joe’s for the Carousel and fountains, New Buffalo for dinner at the Stray Dog along with a concert and fireworks at the beach….
Jeff has all the pictures with Jeff in them. Portage Lake was wonderful. The Kmets have been camping there for over 30 years, and it was my and Kenzie’s first time! Uncle Kevin took us out on the boat twice. So beautiful. We watched the sunset, rescued bobbers and seagull feathers, and saw water skiiers….
