This coming Monday, Kenzie starts 7th grade. I am so thankful that we have such a wonderful relationship, she is truly the best daughter I ever could have wished for. At 12, she is already strong, beautiful, and kind…yet she still has these moments of hesitation and uncertainty that remind me of my pre-teen years. It’s so hard for me to watch her navigate friendships and change, I wish I could tell her that truly, everything does work out, and that she has so many people who love her.

squishies (so many squishies…she probably has close to 100 of them, and if you consider that the average price of these things is somewhere around $6…I could just cry. Darn you, NeeDoh!!)
3. What is your favorite fruit?
strawberry (We just had some incredible strawberries at Little Frenchies in Coronado, CA…they came with the hot chocolate. I hope she remembers the intensity of that flavor as most of the ones we get at home don’t really taste like sunshine.)

Young Sheldon…and Bluey!
5. What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch?
sushi
6. What is your favorite outfit?
sweatpants, a tight shirt, with Uggs
7. What is your favorite game?
Roblox (said with an implicit “duh” tone)

Hot Cheetos

Dogs

Tennesee Orange (she came back from Camp Echo with a love of country, and sings this loud and proud in the car)

To All the Boys I Loved Before (It’s the year of the Wasian!)

Olive

Lacrosse (again, you can hear her roll her eyes as she responds to this question, lol! She just made the Team One travel team, so lax is about to become an even bigger thing in her life.)

Lacrosse, and hang out with friends

Ollipop Orange, it’s really good. Actually no, let’s say…Bubblers.

Christmas (you can hear her grinning here, she’s already made a Canva presentation about what she wants for Christmas)

Big Pup and Bun Bun

Bedazzled stuff

Sushi

I don’t know (it’s so funny that it took her a few minutes to think about what her favorite drink is…but her response to this question was almost instantaneous.)
