About a year ago, I found this dress for $5 at Goodwill. I loved the color, the flowiness, the versatile neckline that could work either on or off the shoulder. I was so happy to bring it home, but then never wore it because every time I put it on, the awkward length would just irritate me with its awkwardness.

Finally, I decided enough was enough. Basta ya. I decided that it couldn’t just sit in my closet anymore, I needed to chop it and wear it. So I did. I took my rotary and chopped off about three inches and I love it! I can even use the scrap as a tie belt. I didn’t bother hemming it, because I was too lazy to find matching thread, and I think it would look cute if the hem frayed a bit.
