Kenzie and I hit a summer neighborhood festival this weekend, and a local art studio had an incredible table set up.  There were mounds and mounds of yarn, fabric scraps, feathers, pony beads, sticks, pine cones, just a pure mishmash of materials.

The philosophy behind the studio is to engage in creative play without any pre-conceptions or expectations, and freedom from criticism.  It was such an amazing approach that drew kids and adults alike to create these free form mobiles.  The approach was simple. Pick out a stick, and start tying things on!  Here is what Kenzie and I made.  We hung it on the stroller where it got several appreciative glances and turned heads.  We loved doing this and it’ll definitely be a party activity for us one day!
