About 80% of homeschooling really sucks. I am a terrible kindergarten teacher. My patience and empathy are at record lows. In fact, as I write this, Mackenzie is having a complete and utter meltdown because I won’t let her run around the block by herself. (She’s six.)
Juggling homeschool, with work, with a house that never stays clean…I feel like screaming or crying most of the time. What saves me is knowing that probably every household is like this is some capacity, so I know I’m not alone in my misery.
On a positive note, there have been some really good moments as well. Including this.
And this, where Kenzie beatboxes one of her homeschool assignments.
Our school has really done a great job providing educational content, and I’m thankful for that. I just need help focusing on the wins, and letting the losses go.
